Accessibility

Last updated October 10, 2026

We want everyone to be able to study with optical.education, including people who use screen readers, keyboards, zoom or other assistive technology.

Our target

We aim to meet the Web Content Accessibility Guidelines (WCAG) 2.2, level AA (opens in a new tab).

What we do

  • Check key pages with automated tools (axe) and by keyboard, on phones and desktops, and fix what we find.
  • Use readable text sizes and color contrast, visible focus, labeled form fields and tables, and captions for figures.
  • Let calculators and practice questions work by keyboard and announce results to screen readers.

Known limits

Our courses run on a third-party platform (learn.optical.education). We fix what we can there with our own styling, but some parts of the platform are outside our control. Some known contrast and target-size issues remain on the course platform. If something blocks you, tell us and we’ll help you get the content another way.

Report a barrier

Email info@optical.education with the page address and what happened. We aim to reply within 5 business days.
